The simple things in life brings the greatest joy

Just along my walk today, I found little things that made me just stop, look , and breathe

For example

This simple flower filled with awesome beauty
And

I had no words for this, just wondering from whence it came

Then

This dandelion forced me to take a closer look

And closer yet

I just sat staring at this one

For no particular reason

Just simple beauty

Thanks for sharing a moment in my day

A Mothers Love

A Mothers Love
A mothers love never dies

It cocoons and shields you while you are growing

It cushions you from all your bumps and bruises when you are falling

It smoothly wipes away your tears when you are crying

And hangs around and comforts you even when you think you are dying

It’s that cloak that you are wrapped in that offers invincibility

She’s the first one to make you think that anything is possible and that you can change the world

It’s the thing present for all major events or milestones in your life, whether it’s a graduation, birthday, or when you’ve choosen to take a husband or wife

Even if she’s not there physically, she’s still with you because she is in your heart and all around you

That feeling that you are special,

When you just know that you are loved

When you know your possibilities are endless

And just have that feeling deep inside that every thing is going to be alright

That all began with your mother’s love

So I say Thank you to all the mothers out there

But especially to my mom

Happy Mother’s Day

Hair Emergency!!!!!

Picture curtesy of face book

I felt so sorry for this lady on the train tonight. Her hair was minimal to say the least. She was mostly bald. But yet her hair dresser found a way to glue in red weave for a bang and attach a burgundy ponytail tail to her head. Stressing the few strands that was left on her head. It brought tears to my eyes, wondering if she would ever stop. She seems to have a stressful life, may be that played a part in her hair loss.

Maybe she had lupus, it does not resemble hair loss related to cancer.

Anyway regardless of the cause of her hair loss, it was apparent to me that given her choice of hair style, healthy hair is no where in her near future

It brought tears to my eyes when I looked at her head

I mentally chastised myself, to ensure I didn’t take a picture. While honestly wishing I had th ability to take instant photos of what I was looking at if I choose to.

I silently wished her well as she left the train

While I reaffirmed that I will never put a perm in my hair again.

Expert Advice for our children

Hey bloggers

I know we have a wide variety of experts in the community, I’m reaching out to you to help the up and coming, young people. Who could benefit from your advice and your expertise. I I’ll be asking questions to the different professionals out there.

The first question I am going to ask is because it has a personal connection to me.

My daughter who is now a senior in high school, wants to become a lawyer

Now this is not my field, I am no expert.  She’s asking me questions like : what major  should I pick, which college is best, while I’m on the other side thinking ” how the heck am I going to pay for this….
So to all you lawyers, professors, law schools, or anyone with insight into the law profession , please what advice, insight, and information can you provide for our up and coming leaders of tomorrow
